Nina Monschein is a singer, actor and writer.
As a soloist, she has performed on some of Europe's biggest and most prestigious stages, such as Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt and Stadthalle Vienna.
As a musical theatre performer, Nina recently toured through Europe with BEST OF MUSICAL STARNIGHTS portraying the roles of Mary Poppins in MARY POPPINS, Fantine in LES MISÉRABLES, Elphaba in WICKED, Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Eliza Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY and Tracy Turnblad in HAIRSPRAY.
In Austria, Nina played the role of Tognina in the musical version of Carlo Goldoni's THE IMPRESARIO FROM SMYRNA at Theatermeierei Gaaden and starred as Ghost of Christmas Present, Mrs. Fezziwig and Mrs. Dilber in Open House Theatre's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. In Spain, she originated and played the lead role of Susanna in the world premiere of EL TREN DE SÓLLER, a new musical written by the Emmy nominated composer Klaus Hillebrecht.
Nina has successfully toured through Austria with her solo cabarets (amongst others An Evening Celebrating Barbra Streisand and Natural Woman - The Songs of Carole King) and performed at renowned cabaret venues all over the country.
Recording work includes the German cast recording of El Tren de Sóller, New York composer Jeremy Schonfeld's album Iron and Coal and the official Life Ball song 2011 Ask The Universe featuring Cheyenne Jackson.
Nina is a graduate of Vienna Conservatory and further trained in London with Chris Johnson and in New York with Katy Pfaffl and at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
Originally from Vienna, Austria, Nina currently resides in New York City.
